Decrypting five year file

I have been gone from boxcryptor for a while and things have change to say the least. I have a file from 5 years ago that I want to decrypt, back then files were given the .enc suffix. it was originally encrypted on android but I moved the file to drop box, now I've got it on a local PC drive. I know the passkey.

Further description of my problem: when i set up boxcryptor on my new computer and place this old encrypted file in it there is no mechanism for bc to recognize the old file as having already been encrypted. when I use the right click menus there are options to encrypt but decrypt.

The file extension .enc has never been used neither by Boxcryptor nor by Boxcryptor Classic. Are you sure that this file has been encrypted by Boxcryptor? If yes, do you remember if you used Boxcryptor or Boxcryptor Classic back then?
