BoxCryptor Installation: Failed to install CBFS Connect: Unknown error (Error Code: -536870397)

Hi,

tried to re-install on a customer's laptop after existing installation was corrupted by update done by the customer on their own (presumably by the same error) and failed with the following error:
Failed to install CBFS Connect: Unknown error (Error Code: -536870397)

System is Windows 8, Kaspersky IS installed (but disabled during installation attempt).
Current Windows installer was downloaded and used.
The installer was launched as administrator, tipps from https://www.boxcryptor.com/fr/help/faq-and-troubleshooting/windows/#i-cannot-install-boxcryptor have been tried without success.
Install Log is available and can be provided.
System32 Directory only contains cbfs_6 driver, no Versions 4 or 5.

I am getting the same error on my machine. This is what the log says:

CustomAction InstallCBFSConnect_CA returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)

Any help is appreciated.
