How to reset google drive account for Mac OS?

I accidentally had one google drive account active in the backup and sync. I want to switch it out for a different GD account. How do I use a different GD account with Boxcryptor?

I've tried uninstalling per the instructions and restarting. I created a new account under a different email. It doesn't matter. If I do not have the initial GD drive account set up under GD Backup and Sync, then Boxcryptor does not see the new GD account (no GD icon - just the Dropbox icon).

I can select a Location folder where the new account is backing up and syncing, but if I attempt to send a secure link, I'm told that Boxcryptor doesn't work outside of GD, Dropbox, and something else.

I'd really like to use Boxcryptor. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

In case this saves anyone else 7-8 hours of time and hair pulling...ugh.

I realized that Boxcryptor's inability to "see" my other GD was related to some sort of more global permissions (sorry, I'm not a tech person, so I may not be saying this correctly...).

I realized it was somehow tied to me being logged into my Chrome account under the gmail user account I DID NOT want associated with Boxcryptor. It couldn't "see" my other account because I wasn't logged into it with Chrome.

The solution for me:
I uninstalled Backup and Sync and installed "File Stream" - which is designed for work syncing (to the best of my understanding). As soon as I got File Stream set up and signed back into Boxcryptor, voila! I was able to access all my files in the second GD account from Boxcryptor (and was able to send and receive a test link with a file).
