I run a mobile office with sensitive patient data that I upload, encrypt and shred.
I would like to (with my phone) be able to directly take pics of multiple paged documents that can be converted to pdf and saved and encrypted (with a custom filename) and upload this directly into my cloud storage via boxcryptor.
At present, the options are limited to either:
Option #1:
VERY CUMBERSOME - Use two apps before boxcryptor (take pics of documents using camera, load them into an Image to PDF app, name and save the file as one pdf file. Then, open boxcyptor, and upload the pdf file to encrypt it... THEN, go back to the original pictures and delete them all because these are not secure... THEN, go to the .pdf file created by the image-to-pdf software and delete this file too, because it is not secure. Then shred the original document in a paper shredder).
As you can see, this is many, many cumbersome steps. And, as I have a mobile paperless office, I have many work documents that I would like to do this with (!)
Option #2
On a phone within boxcryptor, my only option is to take a pic and save it encrypted as a jpeg with no customization of filename. This results in many, many jpegs, which then need to be converted to pdf, named, and then jpegs deleted at a later time from a computer, which is a very time consuming process (!)
The only options currently offered by Boxcryptor in 'New File' are docx, xlsx, pt, txt, rtf, html. Why can't one of these options be image to pdf?
I would be more than happy to pay a premium for this feature. It would drastically improve workflow.
And, yes, of course - there is another (even slower option): I could go home, open my PC, scan all the pages, create .pdf files for each, name each, save each in separate folders within my linked Boxcryptor cloud storage. (but this is cumbersome, because a) I must be near a scanner, and b) because scanning takes a very long time, c) there are many steps involved, d) I need to be at a computer. No scanner is ever going to be as fast as taking pictures of multiple paged documents, so scanning is the SLOWEST option.
So, in a nutshell, given we have image to .pdf on a phone, can we ever expect to see this feature possible using Boxcryptor?
If there is already a faster way to achieve this using an app or method I do not know about - please feel free to suggest it!
Thanks in advance
