Can not download files using Android app after latest update

Is this a problem for others, or is this limited to my Galaxy S8 Plus running Android 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S running Android 6.0.1?

Boxcryptor had been such great and reliable software, but not being able to download files using the Android app after a major update, my confidence in Boxcryptor has been severely shaken.

Hope this is resolved very quickly without introducing other major or minor bugs.

Hello comarch,

you can export the file via the "Share" function.
Tap longer on the file and you will get the share button at the top of the screen.
Press it and select the App you want (in case you want to save it a file manager or another file explorer).

Same here. I cannot open a file from boxcryptor in Keepass2Android any more. I get the following message: "App Protection is enabled. You can only browse files directly in the Boxcryptor app."

I tried the "share" function but still cannot open the file.

Yes me too is not able too download file,after i updated my cell..I did it yesterday,not even single pdf file is not being downloaded.

Hello ahumbleuser,

when the AppProtection is turned on, you can't open the file via the 3rd party App.
This is normal and the way it works.

Just open you KeePass file via the Boxcryptor App, pass it to the KeePass App (no preview available for the file) and you're fine.
Make your changes, save it, work done.

what the fuck ?? i have to use the "share" button to download a single file ?? this is your solution ?? i'm so pi**ed off - even if i use the share button i can't choose any of my two file explorer apps - so i can not download any file.
this is ridiculous.

Same here. I can't download to file manager. This is a must have feature. Other crypto apps already support this.

Such a simple feature. Bit disappointed that it is not available.

I also need ability download whole folder.
