I run last version of boxcryptor (2.41.846) on iPhone (iOS 13.0) and iPad Pro (IOS 12.4.1) as well.
When I change in boxcryptor settings "Password protection" from Yes to No AND "Allow Files App integration" from No to Yes (or vice versa), the files app behaviour is not updated at all.
Example: When I had allowed integration before, a change in boxcryptor settings to "No integration" has no effect on files app: Access to BC files is still possible. In order to update files app handling, I have to restart the device.
This is true for iPhone (new iOS) and iPad (last version of IOS) as well.
In BC versions before, files app behaviour was updated immediately without any need for restart etc.
