So this summer I got myself a SSD and I had to reinstall all programs including Boxcryptor. With my programs reinstalled everything works again, except boxcryptor and I want to access my files again on this device.
Strange thing for me when reinstalling was that boxcryptor needed me to get a .NET framework, while you'd expect that to be present in a legal windows 8.1 version. Then when I tried to download and install it said I already had a framework and after some more trying somehow it didn't give the error anymore and managed to install boxcryptor.
Now when I double click a file to open, my laptop seems to open a new window on top, immediately closes it before anything shows up and goes back to previous window. Same happens when I try to start Boxcryptor from the program list.
I already tried uninstalling BC, installing latest .net framework, rebooting, installing BC, but didn't make a difference.
Does anyone know what's needed to get this program working again? I really want my files to be safe AND accessible again.
With the other answers on this forum, it seems there's bright enough people to fix this too.
