Remove Secoma folder

I uninstalled Boxcryptor and a folder called Secomba still remain on root. How do I remove it? It will not let me move to trash.

Hello.

As long as the drive is mounted you can't remove it.
If you follow the instructions carefully, the first thing to do it to quit Boxcryptor.

I was finally be able to delete the Secomba folder. It was bit hard since it was in the read-only system folder that Catalina created. Below is what I did. I thought I share it in case if anyone encounter the same issue.

Boot into recovery mode
in terminal I issue: csrutil disable
reboot
in terminal: sudo chmod -R 777 /Secomba
Using Finder I add my username to the list with read/write
Reboot into recovery mode
Mount HD
In terminal: cd /Volume/(name of the HD)
in terminal: rm -vrf /Secomba
In terminal: csrutil enable
Reboot
Confirm the folder is now deleted.

Hi guys from support, are you serious? Recovery mode, terminal, etc.? I followed the exact instructions here: https://www.boxcryptor.com/de/help/faq-and-troubleshooting/macos/#how-to-uninstall, but it did not let me remove the Secomba folder. Any simple way to do this? Thanks in advance!

This worked for me. No need to boot into recovery mode if csrutil is already disabled. Open a terminal and type the following. Replace USERNAME with the username logged in as.

cd /Volumes
sudo chown USERNAME Secomba
sudo chmod 777 Secomba
rm -rf Secomba
