Hello, HELP! I'm reinstalling boxcryptor and dropbox after a long time away. I need some old files and it appears I have dropbox and boxcryptor installed correctly, but my boxcyrptor.bc folder is just showing up w/ a check mark, not a padlock. So it isn't decrypting the files when asked. There's only the option to Encrypt, not de-crypt. I found the download your key thing, but that doesn't seem to help. Here same problem,
I have reinstall the version 2 and try to open Data (I used only local encryption) and I can't access to my data anymore.
Support doesn't answer ... Really a nightmare !!!

I pay licence, but look like it's just for licence, not for support 🙁
Cross finger and pray to have a solution.

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, you seem to work with the predecessor of our current Boxcryptor app, Boxcryptor Classic.

Files encrypted in Boxcryptor classic are not compatible to Boxcryptor and vice-versa.

You will have to decrypt your files using one of the old clients as described here.
