What happens to files when downgrading to free version

If a customer has encrypted files with a paid version of Boxcryptor and later decides not to renew, what happens to files that have encrypted file names when downgrading to the free version? What about data on multiple cloud services?

Hi William.

You will still be able to access all your files but the restrictions of the free account will apply:

All files will keep the encryption and you will still be able to open them
The file name encryption will work as usual for all existing files.
The names of new files will not be encrypted
Only one cloud service can be accessed but you can switch to another service any time
You will be limited to 2 active devices
You can remove active devices to add new ones.
