Unfortunately, this issue is related to the latest update of Google Chrome (Chrome 79.0.), which Google has now removed from the Playstore.
Please check if this version (Chrome 79.0.) is on your device, this version may also cause problems with other apps that rely on WebView and local storage.
Open Google Chrome→click on the 3 points at the top of the corner→Settings→About Google Chrome
If this version (Chrome 79.0.) is on your device, please do the following:
- On your device, open the Settings app.
- Tap Apps & Notifications.
- Tap Chrome . …
- Tap Disable
- Tap Activate
- Now search for Google Chrome in your app store
- click on Update
- Open Google Chrome and follow the steps
The version (Chrome 78.0.) should now be back on your device and Boxcryptor should work as usual again.
