At this point I'm fairly desperate. I upgraded to the latest version on one of my computers and now every time I try to overwrite or append to files under a directory tree in which the filenames are encrypted, I get a "Bad file descriptor" error. I've tried numerous re-installs and reboots with no luck. I am using Dropbox beneath Boxcryptor. I am on the latest release of Catalina. I also tried down grading to the previous boxcryptor version I had installed and that won't let me login (it claims my user/pass wasn't found).
If I create a new directory and add a file to it, I can append and overwrite. Once I encrypt it, I can no longer append or overwrite it.
Any help would be very very appreciated. This has effectively rendered me unable to do any work.
