I plan to use Boxcryptor with different cloud storage providers (Google Drive, OneDrive, others) and with more than one cloud storage accounts from the same provider (e.g., Google Drive). Each cloud storage is associated with a specific email (e.g., in Good Drive), but I forgot some of them. And, to complicate the issue, some cloud accounts storages may be named identically in Boxcryptor. (Please disregard the reasons why I have several cloud service providers with several accounts in each. Also, I realize that forgetting the associated email accounts is gross mismanagement.) So, here is the problem issues:

  1. How can I find in Boxcryptor an association with a specific cloud account and its email address, so I can logon to the cloud service provider to verify the storage content?
  2. What will happen in Boxcryptor if I discontinue using one of the service providers or discontinue using some of its accounts? Is it possible that Boxcryptor will continue showing data from an account that does not exist any longer with a cloud service provider?
I will greatly appreciate a piece of advice.

    Hello.

Well, if you have different clouds which are already used with Boxcryptor, but you don't know where/which ones (however, at least their a) email-address and b) should be known), then:

    1. Check via the "Locations" tab in Boxcryptor where the sync folder is located and what/which clouds are set up there.
    2. Open the settings of that specific cloud software and see which email-address you have. Sign in into your cloud.

Regarding your second question: if one cloud/provider goes offline or closes, then you will see your files as long they are not deleted in the cloud (and deleted on your local devices via their sync).
For sure, in such a case you will be (hopefully) informed before they close the doors.
To avoid any data loss: do a backup of your (cloud) files.

    Regards,
    Yasmin
