backup without encryption?

I'm using boxcryptor on mac to keep the contents of my onedrive encrypted in the cloud.
I also want to have a backup of my files on my synology nas. However, I want the nas copies to be free from boxcryptor encryption. The reason is that I feel it is safer to have one set of files not tied to boxcryptor. Also, this way if needed I can access the files on my nas from personal devices without boxcryptor. I'm not worried about my nas security - it is not easily accesible online, and if someone were to steal it from my house, the nas volumes are themselves encrypted and would unmount when unplugged.
When I backup from my mac to the nas, it backs everything up with bc encryption - is there a way to back up an unencrypted version?

You can try to do an "unecrypted" backup of your files on the Boxcryptor drive for instance with "Carbon Copy Cloner".

Can you advise of a similar solution for windows pc? CCC worked great for my mac, thanks. I'm now encountering the same problem setting up a windows pc - I want to backup unencrypted version of files to a nas, and all the software I've tried either uses only images (and not specific files), or seems to copy only an encrypted version.

In case your backup software doesn't recognize the Boxcryptor drive you can try these options (in the Boxcryption advanced settings):

Mount as fixed drive
Mount for all users
Mount in Windows Mount Manager

Bebek I make unencrypted copies of my Boxcryptor-encrypted files using WinMerge (free). When I change things, I just run a compare & manually copy/delete what's changed.

Thanks. It recognises the boxcryptor drive, but all the files it copies onto the synology are copied in encrypted format. I'm trying to find a way to have a daily backup from a windows pc to the synology, that copies the files unencrypted. The synology drive has its own encryption and security, and I'm just trying to create a backup of my files that I can use without the boxcryptor password in case of emergency. CCC does that perfectly on my mac, but so far all the softwares I've tried for the pc seem to copy over the files only in .bc format. Do you have suggestions of what/how I can use to do this? Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately that wouldn't work for me, as I need to use something that does automatic backups and handles file changes on its own.
