Open file from App Boxcryptor i must to pay ?

Greetings to the Community,

for a few days, if I open an Excel or Word file from within my (Android) Boxcryptor App, and the file is stored on my private Cloud gDrive, Microsoft asks me to activate a license. This happens in case I need to make changes. But has something changed? Does it happen to you too? Thank you

Hi Brostin,

When you are trying to open office documents from within Boxcryptor for Android, the app directly forwards the file to any installed Office application.
In your case you might have pre-installed Microsoft Office but no valid license for it.

You might want to look for free alternatives on the marked, Boxcryptor should then provide you with a "app selection screen" upon opening office files.

Hallo, it seems I have the same problem.
I got this info from support, sorry is in German.

In der Tat gibt es ein Problem mit dem Speichern auf Android aus Office.
Wir sind dabei das Problem zu lösen und es in einer neuen Version zur Verfügung zu stellen.

Till now, there is no solution available. If someone needs this working function, you have to install an older version. For me it works with Boxcryptor_v2.102.884_Android.apk. Download is possible hear:
