Cannot remove locations

I've been running Boxcryptor fine but I needed to reinstall Windows. Now when I install Boxcryptor again, by default I have two locations, my Dropbox folder and OneDrive. I'm not able to add the location for my previous Boxcryptor folder, due the restriction on free accounts but neither am I able to remove the two default locations which Boxcryptor has elected to use. I've tried uninstalling and resinstalling but still the same. Can anyone advise how I can remove one of these two default locations where the Remove button is greyed out?

Hi Dan_TUK
You can always disable automatically detected locations in order to add new locations.
Simply disable the unwanted locations via the checkboxes next to them.

Hi Florian, thanks for coming back to me. I have tried disabling those locations by unticking, but it's still not letting me add the one I need because it's a subfolder of one of those auto detected ones.

unfortunately this is not possible with the Free version of Boxcryptor. In the Boxcryptor Company package however you can enforce certain locations via Policies on Boxcryptor.com/app.
You might want to pin your desired subfolder to the Windows Explorer's Quick Access pane

That's exactly how I've been using BoxCryptor for about 18 months now, until I needed to reinstall.

All I need to be able to do, is to remove the Dropbox location which is setup by default by BoxCryptor, so that I can then add the subfolder which I've always previously used for BoxCryptor. Is there any reason why the remove button for the Dropbox location is greyed out, so that I can't remove it?

I have exactly the same issue with a paying account.
The BoxCryptor app "decided" that a folder was the Dropbox folder and I cannot remove this location, so I have just lost access to my encrypted files in my real Dropbox folder.
