sure. Install Boxcryptor, sign in with the account and "mount" the location of the file (cloud storage folder or even a local folder, described here)
You can now open the encrypted file.

Thank you for your reply. My question refers to the case where I no longer have access to the virtual drive associated with my Cloud in the virtual drive X: created by Boxcryptor. In this case, I can only access to encrypted files in my local harddisk that they are in the form myFile.myExt.bc
Under these circumstances, can I individually decrypt files of type myFile.myExt.bc ?

Hello Caplande,

You always need a Boxcryptor client to decrypt and access your encrypted files, e.g. Boxcryptor for Windows or macOS.

If I no longer have access to the cloud associated with Boxcrypor, can I still decrypt the files that I have encrypted and are of the form myFile.xxx.bc (eg myFile.doc.bc), if so, what to do?

I'm sorry if we misunderstood you. On Windows, Boxcryptor is always working with the encrypted files locally stored on your hard disk and not in your cloud. As a convenience feature, Boxcryptor automatically detects your installed cloud provider's folder but this is not a requirement. You can also manually add any folder on your computer as a location in Boxcryptor.

So even if you don't use your cloud anymore but still have your encrypted files stored on your hard disk, you can add manually add the folder with the encrypted .bc files as location in Boxcryptor to decrypt and access them. The encrypted files are not coupled to your cloud provider.
