Change folder from encrypted to unencrypted without affecting folder contents

I have encrypted a folder and all its contents were automatically encrypted also. This is great. Everytime I put a file into the folder it is encrypted. However, I now want to put unencrypted items into the folder. Is there way to change the folder properties so it doesn't automatically encrypt?
