I'm new to Boxcryptor and gererally no expert with computers.
Installing and setting up Boxcryptor with OneDrive on Windows 10 was easily done and working with it on both my computer and my iPhone works pretty well so far.
My computer is structured as follows:
C:\
Windows
D:\
My files synchronized with OneDrive and stored locally on my harddrive, so also accessible when offline. Stored on its own partition, to prevent data loss when windows is corrupted.
X:\
Virtual Boxcryptor drive of D:\
My problem:
My photos and videos will be loaded into Microsoft Photos when I set the source folder path to X:\OneDrive\Pictures in the settings. Everytime I restart my computer though, the path is deleted in the app, so I have to to set it up again, my pictures have to load again and face recognition has to start from scratch. Considering I have more than 100 GB of pictures and videos, this is a fairly long process.
In the Boxcryptor advanced setting I enabled
Mount as fixed drive
Mount for all users
Mount in Windows Mount Manager (even though I'm not exactly sure what that means)
I have also added X:\ in the indexing options. For some reason it is now not shown there anymore but searching for my files in cortana will still find them.
Maybe anyone can help out?
