M1 Mac Mini, Big Sur 11.5.2. Boxcryptor 2.41.1308
When trying to encrypt a folder containing many files, Boxcryptor often throws this error:
<file> couldn't be copied to <folder>_encrypted
Hitting retry produces the more verbose version:
<file> couldn't be copied to <folder>_encrypted because an item with the same name already exists.
Skipping the file works, but on a folder or tree containing over 100,000 files, this is obviously impractical. Even doing it on constituent folders containing 1000 files.
If I'm doing a large set of files or folders and I hit cancel, it unwinds the entire effort, even if (as in my first test) it was 50,000 files into the process. Hours of computation got wasted.
Pointers welcome.
