Please follow the visual style of macOS icons in the Finder sidebar.

Pretty much same question; Mac users are pretty hysterical one it comes to visual designs. I would (as a payed user) definitely opt for a better aesthetically approach, at least make it blue so it fits the design guidelines.

Agreed - this just looks soooooo awful, I actually deleted all the Boxcryptor icons from my Finder sidebar and am less annoyed having to navigate via several other folders just to get to my Boxcryptor folder without having to see this icon. Pointless, and so un-macOS...Apple provides a beautiful, professional UI - just use what they have given you PLEASE.

Ceres1 thanks for sharing your thoughts. As a paying user I would like to ask the team; what’s on your roadmap and how important is customer delight for you when it comes down to visualisation?

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I agree, that Boxcryptor's sidebar icon could have deserved a little bit more attention. Another reason is that the way used to display the icon is in general broken on macOS and other applications are also affected by this (e.g. Google Drive)

But I also have good news: Our upcoming completely new version of Boxcryptor for macOS will finally have a nice looking and well integrating sidebar icon 🎉
