  • Windows 11 Compatibility - Indexing

Hello,
It seems that due to compatibility issues with Windows 11, boxcryptor has disabled the below two advanced options:

  • Mount for all users
  • Mount in Windows Mount Manager

Unfortunately, the above two settings are required for indexing to work on Windows.
The result is that documents cannot be indexed until these are again available.

Is there any ETA on when these two settings will be again available on Windows 11?

    Indeed, due to some technical issue with Windows 11 we had to disable this.
    We are working on a fix, but unfortunately, I can't provide you here with a release date.

      It's three months later now. Any idea of when this might be fixed?

        It appears that these two features are now available in Boxcryptor under Windows 11, but enabling them does not add the drive to the list of locations that Windows Search can index. Is this an identified issue or am I doing something wrong?

          Please try the "Mount as fixed disk" option together with the others.
          Then also restart the Windows Search service too.
