I faced a situation this morning that make me wonder what would be my solution(s) if this repeated, or in similar situations:
I was using my work laptop, where I don't have admin rights to install any app. I needed to access a file, so logged into Dropbox through my browser to download it locally, but then I was stuck there. Didn't know what to do to open the file.
Sure, after a while I thought about a workaround, using my phone to share the file by email with myself, but let's assume I don't have my phone with me, could I ever open the desired encrypted file? And if yes, how, please?
Traveling, using public or restricted rights laptops, while having your phone with no battery or just lost it, I can think of many situations where it could happen, and I don't think this is such a corner case. Overall it got me worried that it would happen when I would need my files most.
