Just downloaded Boxcryptor_Portable - Windows 2.35.308. I also have it installed on my Windows 10 desktop (version 2.22.706, which the "about" tab says is up-to-date). Using both the portable and installed versions, I set them up to use the same Google Drive account, using a local Boxcryptor account with the same bckey file. I've been using the installed version for years, through many updates, and have been very happy with it. The portable version seems to have a problem with my ESET Internet Security firewall, hanging with an empty window when I try to run it. But if I disable the firewall, I can run it, and it displays the folder and files on my Google drive, the the contents of the files that are encrypted are unencrypted correctly. EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT THE CONTENT SHOWN BY THE PORTABLE VERSION IS OUT-OF-DATE. AND THE LAST MODIFIED DATE SHOWN IN THE FILE LIST IN THE PORTABLE VERSION IS VERY OLD/WRONG
For example, one particular file that I access and modify frequently is correctly shown in the X: drive created by the installed version to have a modification date of 6/1/2022 (today). But with the portable version, its listing shows the modification date as "7 months ago". And looking at the content of the file, the content shown for the portable version looks like it might have been correct for 7 months ago. I can't imagine how Boxcryptor could possibly this! Any ideas?
