Normally if you copy/move a file into encrypted folder, the file transfers with normal speed the speed of harddrive while boxcryptor starts encryption after that or simultaneously in background. So speed of transfer is not effected.
However, I have some shared folders over ftp and if I transfer a file from another pc into an encrypted folder in my pc (directly in the virtual drive X: ), the file transfer speed is limited to how fast it gets encrypted. Meaning file is actively being encrypted and transfer speed is bottlenecked by encryption speed.
Since my PC is not so powerful, encryption speed is really slow making the transfers very slow as well. Is there a way to set boxcryptor to not actively encrypt and let the files transfer first when using ftp?
