Couldn’t Communicate with Helper Application (iCloud)

Greetings,
I’m having trouble with downloading and/or uploading files in iCloud through the iOS FilesApp using Boxcryptor.

Files aren’t completing the upload process. They get stuck in the “waiting” phase and if they do complete only 12.6MB of the file is uploaded.
In addition, when I try to download files the program errors out randomly. I receive the “Couldn’t Communicate with Helper Program” or “The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred.” There doesn’t yet appear to be a pattern or particular setup to receive these errors.

I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled the Boxcryptor app and restarted my phone - all in various combinations, even waiting 24 hrs to hopefully allow cloud syncing to correct any hang ups.

I do not seem to be having this problem with OneDrive or Google Drive.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to 100% determine if this is a connection issue with Boxcryptor through iOS/iCloud or simply an iOS/iCloud problem.

Any insight would be appreciated.

iOS 15.6.1

iPhone 13 Pro Max

i think they’re deleted but files didnt sync with google drive so far, try turning off and on google drive on files

Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried turning off the drive in Files, deleting the Boxcryptor app completely and reloading it, and finally reopening the drive in Files (along with reauthenticating in Boxcryptor). Unfortunately, still getting the error. I see the files in the Boxcryptor service, but no dice on opening them. The corresponding files are in the correct folder of the iCloud Drive, with their appropriate .bc extensions. The supposedly decrypted images on the iOS device, however, cause the error.

I have the same problem but I have detected it only happens with iCloud, not with OneDrive nor other services.
Also, it has something to do with the file size and (maybe) type. I specially have problems with Video files and large PDF files.

Please install the latest version (3.21), it improves the upload/download on iCloud.
