After reading the discussions about the new Boxcryptor 3x for Mac and the range of experiences people are having with the new version, I'm wondering if there's been any thought about the best way to migrate from version 2x to version 3x? It seems that with such a large change in the software structure, success with the new version might depend heavily on the files and structure of a user's version 2 installation.
My questions specifically: Should I decrypt all my files/folders encrypted with version 2, then uninstall Boxcryptor 2? Then install Boxcryptor 3?
Frankly, Boxcryptor 2 has not worked well with Monterey 12.6. I'm having issues with putting new folders and files in the DropBox/Boxcryptor with version 2. I don't know if my installation of version 2 in corrupted or the issues I'm having is due to the new way DropBox and Monterey work together?
I don't want to lose any access to my encrypted files. So I'm looking for the safest way to migrate to version 3. Suggestions? Thanks in advance
