Hi all, Like many of you, I'm super disappointment by last week's news. I'm now trying to decrypt over 350GB worth of files. Simply clicking 'decrypt' on folders within by BC folder doesn't work because: I don't have enough space on my macbook to have double folders (i.e. an encrypted and an a decrypted folder) of my files, nor to first download all files that are currently in my DB cloud. It would mess up the way many of my files are linked to Video files. Is there a way around these 2 issues? Am I missing something? Thanks, Tom

1) My suggestion, don't use the decrypt action but move away the 350GB to an external storage just with a cut-paste. Then move the 350 package back to the macbook's disk in other location than the Boxcryptor volume.
2) Not sure to have understood the second point, can you please explain better?

Thanks Diego, appreciate the thoughts. Your first point makes sense. Regarding the second: my problem is that many of my largest files are encrypted and online-only on Dropbox. I don't have enough space on my macbook to first download all these files (i.e. making them available on my local drive and not just in the cloud) to then decrypt them. Is there a way to decrypt files without them being locally stored? Hope that's a little clearer. Thanks again!

In my opinion, the proposal suggested for the point 1 applies also to the second one, i.e. move the online-only files to the external storage to decrypt them. Personally I cannot suggest another option.

You can also decrypt the files itself (not the folders). In that case BC won't rename them.
I guess that removing the Folderkey.bch afterwards will make the folder decrypted. I did only a short test and this worked.

This won't help you much if you have many subfolders.
