Does Encrypting More Files Slow PC Down?

Hello,

If I wanted to encrypt my entire hard drive, instead of just my document and a few other small things, would that make my computer slow and/or increase bandwidth?

I read the "Boxcryptor is Using a Lot of CPU" and "Boxcryptor is Slow" links on the website, but they didn't help me.

Hello,

Boxcryptor is not designed to be used to encrypt an entire hard drive but rather specific parts of your file sytem (e.g. a cloud storage folder, network share or any other folder on your computer). If you try to encrypt e.g. Windows system files, you will likely break your operating system.

If you're looking for a full disk encryption software, please take a look at Bitlocker or VeraCrypt.

I'm sorry I misspoke. I meant encrypting all of my files in my OneDrive account which consists of my documents, pictures, videos, ebooks, audio files and some files for a few games. In total 110GB of stuff. Currently I'm only encripting the documents and a few pictures.
