Synology NAS - encrypted word files (read times)

Hi there,

yesterday I bought a new Synology NAS and integrated my encrypted folders with Boxcryptor. I'm using a lot of word files for my work, so opening, reading and changing between them is a big part of my daily workflow.

But now I noticed that opening them takes a lot of time, up to 9 seconds. Is there any way to improve these read times? Do I need to buy a SSD cache for my NAS?

TL;DR: Avoid using Filename encryption and try not to have too many files within a single folder
