I decrypted all my Boxcryptor files and as far as I can tell, there were no problems with that. However, I discovered a strange issue and I don't know what caused it or how to fix it.
As you know, if you want to access encrypted files, you have to go into Dropbox via the Boxcryptor folder. There, you will see all your encrypted files under their normal filenames. For example, "myphoto.jpg". If, however, you forget to go in through the Boxcryptor folder and go in via the Dropbox folder directly, you'll notice that your encrypted files have a ".bc" file extension appended. So what would normally be called "myphoto.jpg" becomes "myphoto.jpg.bc" because you're accessing the file outside of the Boxcryptor folder.
Ok, so after I decrypted my files, I went in to my Dropbox folder (without going in through Boxcryptor) and all the filenames looked normal, without a ".bc" extension appended and I could access my files normally so I know they're all unencrypted successfully.
The issue, however, is that if I search for ".bc" from within Dropbox, it still shows all the files that were previously encrypted with their encrypted names! If I go into my dropbox folder, then click on the "my photos" folder, I'll see "myphoto.jpg" and no other files (assume that's the only file in the folder). This is normal. BUT, if I click the search bar in that folder and search for ".bc", the results show "myphoto.jpg.bc"!! This file shouldn't even exist, and I can't see it outside of these search results. What is going on? (In fact, there is also "FolderKey.bch" being listed too. Oh, AND sometimes these files are duplicated for whatever reason, with one being "myphoto.jpg.bc" and the other being "myphoto.JPG.bc".
Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?
