Folx, I am or rather was a "free account" user. I had copied and pasted the files on my desktop prior to my account being terminated. But today, I see that they are back to being encrypted! And I am locked out and no longer have access to Boxcryptor to decrypt (right-click decrypt). I am screwed! How can I decrypt these files??

But when I go to my iCloud folder (that's what's linked to Boxcryptor) through the Boxcryptor drive, I don't see any files.

Hi,
I have a similar problem.
I discovered all info messages from boxcryptor today in my spam box and did not export the key file. However, I found on my computer an old .bckey file with which I can see my files but I cannot open them. Authorization management is also not accessible.

Same thing but with Windows! The account is locked! Support doesn't answer!

Hello,
I found the solution to my problem.
1- Go to https://www.boxcryptor.com/app/account/index/ and authenticate
2- At the bottom of the page, in "Advanced" use "Export keys"
3- Connection to the Boxcryptor application with the generated key file
I was able to recover all the files.

You should uninstall Boxcryptor and reinstall it. Then, when the credentials are asked, click on the three dots to choose a local account and select the key file.

I never saw the emails about the change in Boxcryptor and accounts being closed upon expiraiton of the current subscriptions. I discovered today throguh cnace (when I reatrted my Mac) that my Boxcrypotr account i s"locked." It was locked 4 days ago. I submitted a support requaest to Boxcryptor but so far no reply.

If anyone who has been able to decrypt their files using a Local account coupd post simple step-by-step instructions, I;d be so grateful. I created a local account and linked to Dropbox (where I have one folder ca;led "Secure" which in turn has a dozen folders within it). When I open the Local account it lists al of my many Droipbox folders, including the "Secire" folder, and that is the only one with the greeen "encryped" symbol. But how do I decrypt the folders or files? I even exported a key from the site but it seems to do no good.
